Holy Week & Easter
Join us at Grace Church as we journey through Holy Week to Easter! Holy Week is a special time in the church calendar when we remember the last days of Jesus' life -- from his triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, to his death on Good Friday, and ultimately his Resurrection on Easter. Below is a schedule of services.

Palm Sunday
Services at 9am and 11am.
March 29
Palm Sunday is the beginning of Holy Week. Our service begins with the blessing of palm branches, as we remember Jesus’ procession into Jerusalem. The procession of palms is a celebration, as we sing “All Glory, Laud and Honor.” Then the tone of the Liturgy suddenly shifts and becomes darker as we read the Passion Narrative of Jesus’ final days as a preview of what is to come later this week. You can join us for our 9 AM or 11 AM services, or you can tune in on our Facebook Page or our YouTube channel.

Stations of the Cross
Service with music and homily at 7pm.
April 1
Drawing on Scripture and Christian tradition, the Stations of the Cross walk us through the final hours of Jesus’ life using art, liturgy, and prayer. Each Wednesday in Lent a simple Stations will be offered, but a fuller version with homily and music is offered during Holy Week. Join us at 7PM for an in-person liturgy.

Maundy Thursday
Agape Meal at 6:30pm; Holy Eucharist with Foot Washing at 7pm; Vigil follows.
April 2
Reflecting on the Last Supper, the Maundy Thursday service begins with a simple Agape Meal of Mediterranean appetizers. A Holy Eucharist service follows, including an optional foot washing, commemorating the Last Supper. After Communion, we will strip the altar and all décor from the Sanctuary, symbolizing Jesus’ desertion in the Garden of Gethsemane. Overnight, you can sign up to “keep watch” with Jesus and the Reserve Sacrament at the “Vigil of Repose.” You can join us in person, or you can tune in on our Facebook Page or our YouTube channel.

Good Friday
Communion from the Reserved Sacrament at 12pm; Solemn liturgy with choir at 7pm.
April 3
On Good Friday we remember Jesus’ trial and death. Just as the women remained with him and wept, so we sit in this moment of despair. The cleansing grief of this day reminds us why the cross matters and prepares us for Easter. At noon, we will have the solemn liturgy with music and Holy Communion from the Reserved Sacrament. At 7pm, we will have the solemn liturgy with music. You can join us in person at noon or 7pm, or you can tune in on our Facebook Page or our YouTube channel.

Holy Saturday
Simple spoken service at 12pm.
April 4
This brief service on Holy Saturday reminds us of the uncertainty and waiting between Good Friday and Easter. Following the service we decorate for Easter. Join us in-person at 12pm.

Easter Vigil
Service with Baptisms at 8pm.
April 4
The powerful Easter Vigil service begins in darkness and the lighting of a new “Paschal” Candle as a symbol of Jesus’ resurrection. Scripture, music, and liturgy tell of God’s unending love for us. The service moves us from Lent to Easter. This service is filled with symbolism and expresses the joy incarnate of Easter! You can join us in person, or you can tune in on our Facebook Page or our YouTube channel. See Fr. Tim for information on Baptisms.

Easter Sunday
Services at 9am and 11am; Easter Egg Hunt between services at 10:15am.
April 5
The pinnacle of the Christian year— we gather with friends and family on Easter morning to celebrate Christ’s resurrection and the hope of New Life! We finally arrive at our Easter Sunday, which will feature more special music celebrating the discovery of the resurrection of our risen Lord. Join us at 9am or 11am in-person, or you can tune in on our Facebook Page or our YouTube channel. There will also be an Easter Egg hunt in-between services at 10am! Invite a friend!
