Confirmation

Confirmation is one of the official Sacraments of the Episcopal Church - it is a statement of faith for someone previously baptized and includes the laying on of hands by the Bishop of the Diocese. People choose to be confirmed when they want to make a re-affirmation of faith after being a baptized Christian for some time. It's an opportunity to double down on God. Confirmation is also claiming the Episcopal Church as your spiritual home.

It's also a great opportunity to grow in your faith, because it includes a twelve-week course that prepares you to make this commitment. Through discussion, lecture, and various exercises the classes explore beliefs about the Bible, creeds, theology, spiritual practices, and the Anglican tradition. The approach is designed to be engaging and thought provoking as you grow in your faith. It is centered on spiritual growth and commitment to Christ - it is not about memorizing dogma. It is open to adults and mature teens.

Confirmation is offered once a year preceding the Bishop's visitation to Grace Church. If you are ready to learn more about these topics and grow deeper in your faith this course is for you!
